THE BEAUTY OF RECITING THE QUR'AN.

Why do we recite the Quran, even if we can't understand a single Arabic word???

An old American Muslim lived on a farm in the mountains of eastern Kentucky with his young grandson. Each morning Grandpa was up early sitting at the kitchen table reading his Quran. His grandson wanted to be just like him and tried to imitate him in every way he could.

One day the grandson asked, 'Grandpa! I try to read the Quran just like you but I don't understand it, and what I do understand I forget as soon as I close the book. What good does reading the Qur'an do?'

The Grandfather quietly turned from putting coal in the stove and replied, 'Take this coal basket down to the river and bring me back a basket of water.'

The boy did as he was told, but all the water leaked out before he got back to the house. The grandfather laughed and said, 'You'll have to move a little faster next time,' and sent him back to the river with the basket to try again. This time the boy ran faster, but again the basket was empty before he returned home. Out of breath, he told his grandfather that it was impossible to carry water in a basket, and he went to get a bucket instead.

The old man said, 'I don't want a bucket of water; I want a basket of water. You're just not trying hard enough,' and he went out the door to watch the boy try again.

At this point, the boy knew it was impossible, but he wanted to show his grandfather that even if he ran as fast as he could, the water would leak out before he got back to the house. The boy again dipped the basket into river and ran hard, but when he reached his grandfather the basket was again empty. Out of breath, he said, 'See Grandpa, it's useless!'

'So you think it is useless?' The old man said, 'Look at the basket.'

The boy looked at the basket and for the first time realized that the basket was different. It had been transformed from a dirty old coal basket and was now clean, inside and out..

'Son, that's what happens when you read the Qur'an. You might not understand or remember everything, but when you read it, you will be changed, inside and out. That is the work of Allah in our lives.'

REASONS WHY YOU SHOULD APPRECIATE YOUR FAMILY THE MORE!!!

1. UNITY UNTILL THE END: The only rock I know that stays steady, the only institution I know that works, is the family. You grow up with them and they will be there all the way through your life journey. Even if you will have a family of your own, your original family will still be there and care for you until the end of their, and your life.

2. FIGHTS FOR YOU: When trouble comes, it's your family that supports and fights with you no matter how bad the situation is; they will be there and support you no matter what the issue is, they will do their best to help you win whatever you are facing. No matter what it is, even if it something you know they’re against; family will be there because they would rather help you then to lose you completely!

3. LOVES YOU UNCONDITIONALLY: Family is important because they will love you unconditionally, no matter what. Families stick by each other through thick and thin and will always be there for you. It's love without a reason and not expecting anything in return. It is a gift that we are given everyday that we are alive, and have the ability to be used every single day! A gift that keeps on giving, yet some people don’t view it as such unfortunately.

4. LIFTS YOU UP WHEN YOU FALL: So you didn’t win that competition, you didn’t do good in school, or you did something wrong? Family will be there to help you up. They will be your support, your reformation and your shoulder when you need somebody to cry on. Family will always be there and cheering for you!

5. SUPPORTS EVERYTHING YOU DO: Whatever you want and pursue, family will be the one to fuel you with perseverance and motivation to keep you achieving your goals. When you cross the finish line or accomplish something that you’ve always wanted they will be the first to give you a hug, or pat on the back!

 6. THEY MAKE YOU HAPPY: Having a close family is always a benefit in your life. There is nothing better than getting home from a stressful day at work or school and then having your family come play games and cheer you up some how! Family knows how to make you happy because they know you the best!

7. YOUR LIVE WIRE: Most importantly you have to realize in all those times your family is giving you grief and you think they make your life miserable, well, you wouldn’t be alive if it wasn’t for them! Family is always there for you regardless of what happens, and you need to know that they are the most important people in your life, and they will make you a better person in the future.

8. THEY CARE FOR YOU: No matter what is going on in your life, negative or positive, your family is always there for you. If you have an issue and do not have anyone to go through, your parents will be there. You may not want to go to your parents for personal issues, but you never know what they went through when they were younger, it could be the exact same thing!

Being a family means you are part of something wonderful.. It means you will love and be loved for the rest of your life, no matter what! Family is the only place where life begins, and love never ends.

Desmond Tutu rightly said 'You dont choose your family. They are God's gift to you as you to them"

The difference between Men and Women....

Let's say a guy named Fred is attracted to a woman named Martha. He asks her out to a movie; she accepts; they have a pretty good time. A few nights later he asks her out to dinner, and again they enjoy themselves. They continue to see each other regularly, and after a while neither one of them is seeing anybody else.

And then, one evening when they're driving home, a thought occurs to Martha, and, without really thinking, she says it aloud: "Do you realize that, as of tonight, we've been seeing each other for exactly six months?"

And then, there is silence in the car.

To Martha, it seems like a very loud silence. She thinks to herself: I wonder if it bothers him that I said that. Maybe he's been feeling confined by our relationship; maybe he thinks I'm trying to push him into some kind of obligation that he doesn't want, or isn't sure of.

And Fred is thinking: Gosh. Six months.

And Martha is thinking: But, hey, I'm not so sure I want this kind of relationship either. Sometimes I wish I had a little more space, so I'd have time to think about whether I really want us to keep going the way we are, moving steadily towards, I mean, where are we going? Are we just going to keep seeing each other at this level of intimacy? Are we heading toward marriage? Toward children? Toward a lifetime together? Am I ready for that level of commitment? Do I really even know this person?

And Fred is thinking: ...so that means it was...let's see...February when we started going out, which was right after I had the car at the dealer's, which means...lemme check the odometer...Whoa! I am way overdue for an oil change here.

And Martha is thinking: He's upset. I can see it on his face. Maybe I'm reading this completely wrong. Maybe he wants more from our relationship, more intimacy, more commitment; maybe he has sensed - even before I sensed it - that I was feeling some reservations. Yes, I bet that's it. That's why he's so reluctant to say anything about his own feelings. He's afraid of being rejected.

And Fred is thinking: And I'm gonna have them look at the transmission again. I don't care what those morons say, and this thing is shifting like a garbage truck, and I paid those incompetent thieves alot of Money.

And Martha is thinking: He's angry. And I don't blame him. I'd be angry, too. I feel so guilty, putting him through this, but I can't help the way I feel. I'm just not sure.

And Fred is thinking: They'll probably say it's only a 90-day warranty...scumballs.

And Martha is thinking: Maybe I'm just too idealistic, waiting for a knight to come riding up on his white horse, when I'm sitting right next to a perfectly good person, a person I enjoy being with, a person I truly do care about, a person who seems to truly care about me. A person who is in pain because of my self-centred, schoolgirl romantic fantasy.

And Fred is thinking: Warranty? They want a warranty? I'll give them a warranty. I'll take their warranty and stick it right up their...

"Fred," Martha says aloud.

"What?" says Fred, startled.

"Please don't torture yourself like this," she says, her eyes beginning to brim with tears. "Maybe I should never have...oh dear, I feel so..."(She breaks down, sobbing.)

"What?" says Fred.

"I'm such a fool," Martha sobs. "I mean, I know there's no knight. I really know that. It's silly. There's no knight, and there's no horse."

"There's no horse?" says Fred.

"You think I'm a fool, don't you?" Martha says.

"No!" says Fred, glad to finally know the correct answer.

"It's just that...it's that I...I need some time," Martha says.

(There is a 15-second pause while Fred, thinking as fast as he can, tries to come up with a safe response. Finally he comes up with one that he thinks might work.)

"Yes," he says. (Martha, deeply moved, touches his hand.)

"Oh, Fred, do you really feel that way?" she says.

"What way?" says Fred.

"That way about time," says Martha.

"Oh," says Fred. "Yes." (Martha turns to face him and gazes deeply into his eyes, causing him to become very nervous about what she might say next, especially if it involves a horse. At last she speaks.)

"Thank you, Fred," she says.

"Thank you," says Fred.

Then he takes her home, and she lies on her bed, a conflicted, tortured soul, and weeps until dawn, whereas when Fred gets back to his place, he opens a pack of pringles, turns on the TV, and immediately becomes deeply involved in a rerun of a football match. A tiny voice in the far recesses of his mind tells him that something major was going on back there in the car, but he is pretty sure there is no way he would ever understand what, and so he figures it's better if he doesn't think about it.

The next day Martha will call her closest friend, or perhaps two of them, and they will talk about this situation for six straight hours. In painstaking detail, they will analyse everything she said and everything he said, going over it time and time again, exploring every word, expression, and gesture for nuances of meaning, considering every possible ramification.

They will continue to discuss this subject, off and on, for weeks, maybe months, never reaching any definite conclusions, but never getting bored with it either.

Meanwhile, Fred, while playing cards one day with a mutual friend of his and Martha's, will pause just before serving, frown, and say: "Norm, did Martha ever own a horse?"

And that's the difference between men and women.

Words... Straight from my heart!!!

  • I don't feel bitter that some people remember me only when they are in need... I feel privileged that I am like a candle that comes to mind when there's a power failure!!! Hehehe!!
  • The heart feels light when someone is in it...but it feels very heavy when someone leaves it!
  • A heart dies when it is not able to share its feelings..but a heart kills itself when another heart doesn't understands its feelings!!!
  •  When we were small we laughed less but there was infinite hidden happiness, as we grow up we learn to laugh more to hide the unspoken sadness!
  • You can fall in love with the personality of any one..but remember finally you have to live with the character & not with the personality!
  • The best relationship is not the one which is free from problems & misunderstandings
its the one where a sorry & a smile can make everything perfect as before.
  • A good relation does not depend on how good understanding we have but it depends on how better we avoid misunderstandings.
  • Every one has a 'best friend' during each stage of life
but only lucky ones have the same friend in all stages of life.
  • when you feel you are alone in a crowd
when you think no one can understand you
when you hate your life...Just close your eyes & see her face who loves you more than anyone else
who cares for you in loneliness & dies for you when you cry
she is no one but your sweet loving MOM!!!
Though some words are better left unsaid, i just cant help but share them with You.... because they are coming straight from my heart!!!
